DESCRIPTION

The Ontario Junior/Youth Provincial Championships is an elite competition hosted by Burlington Barbell Club.It is meant for promising Junior and Youth athletes from around the province to compete against one another. It is also within the qualifying period of several upcoming elite competitions, such as Winterlift, and Canadian Junior Championships. There are no qualifying standards for this competition.

THE VENUE
Crossfit Connection is located in Burlington, and is home to Burlington Barbell Club led by Coach Michael D'Angelo. The venue is located in the industrial section of Burlington, with the ability to host several types of group classes, such as Crossfit, Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting. This location serves as an ideal space to host a competition of this nature. There are several places that athletes can get food and coffee that require a short amount of driving to get to.

DESCRIPTION

Mistletoe Challenge is an open competition set in the end of December for athletes to enjoy and have fun for the holidays, and is in the qualifying period of Winterlift and Senior and Junior Nationals. The competition will run for 1 day.

THE VENUE

Toronto Weightlifting is based out of the elite athletic performance centre, Kanama High Performance, which is located on Cosentino drive in Scarborough. Its located in the industrial district, with several restaurants on Progress and Midland Avenue, a short drive away.

DESCRIPTION

The Variety Village Open is the 1st open competition of the new year, coming about after the holidays have finished, and serves as a qualifier for the upcoming elite competition, Winter lift, and as well for the National Championships taking place in the summer.

THE VENUE

Variety Village is located within Scarborough, and is home to Variety Village Weightlifting Club. As it is within the Variety Village Centre, the open spaces and open areas allow for large competitions to take place. Athletes can find multiple locker rooms, and a cafe within the centre for easy access to food.
