Voting Process:
On Friday September 25 at 5:00 PM, eligible members will receive an email containing a link and detailed instructions on how to cast your vote. The voting window will be open from 5:00 PM on Friday September 25, to 5:00 PM on Saturday September 26.

Voting Eligibility: To be eligible to vote in this election, you must be a member prior to September 20, and have a membership level higher than volunteer.

Meet the Nominees

VP Finance

George Vlahos - Incumbent - VP Finance

As VP Finance some of my responsibilities include bookkeeping, issuing payments, working with Accountants for audits, creating quarterly financial reports, and providing any financial reports required by Government agencies. I have been involved with weightlifting since 2004. I have competed at Ontario Championships, Canadian Masters and Pan Am Masters competitions. I continue to be an active Masters Weightlifter. I am a father and husband, and live in Barrie with my wife Jenn. In my day job I work as a Network Engineer in the telecom industry. My Christian Faith is a very important part of my identity. Other interests include business, economics, health-fitness and playing guitar.

VP Operations

Nicolas Munro - Candidate - VP Operations

Nick is a co-owner and coach of Landmark x JustLift in Ottawa, Ontario. Nick has a long background in varied athletics, originally playing soccer from ages 5 to 18 at the provincial level until 2017 when they became a member of the OWA as a junior athlete. Nick has since medalled at both the junior and senior levels provincially and nationally and still competes at the national level. In 2019, Nick began coaching. They are NCCP Competition Introduction Certified and are currently In-Training for NCCP Competition Development.

Being a club owner, coach, and athlete has granted Nick insight into many different sides of weightlifting and how it can positively impact people's lives. Nick plans to use these skills and experiences to support provincial teams, assist clubs with competition hosting, and guide athletes through the optimal competition pathways for their goals.

VP Administration

Tiffany Chan - Incumbent - VP Administration

Tiffany serves as the VP of Administration of the OWA since June 2026. She is a dedicated sport administrator, kids coach, and advocate for athlete development with a strong commitment to advancing the sport of Olympic weightlifting across Ontario.

Tiffany has been involved with the sport of Olympic Weightlifting since 2021 as a Masters athlete. She has recently completed her NCCP - Competition Development Coach certification in Weightlifting, and she regularly attends and supports competitions in Ontario as a Level 3 Technical Official.

Professionally, Tiffany holds a Masters degree and has worked with multiple provincial health organizations. Her background includes expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder relations, project management, communications, and operational leadership. She believes that strong organizational systems and engaged volunteers are key to creating opportunities for athletes at all levels.

She looks forward to contributing her experience, energy, and passion to serve the weightlifting community.

Noah Santavy - Candidate - VP Administration

I’m Noah Santavy, I’m a 4th generation OWA member, WCH athlete’s council member, I’ve been a national team athlete for several years, two time Canadian national champion, many time provincial Senior and Junior champion. I’ve also represented Canada at many PanAm and World Championships, as well as the 2023 PanAmerican Games and I have 20 years of weightlifting experience.

I love this sport and I will do my best to help better the OWA in any way that I can.
